Research and Graphics for our country

We were given Evia Island in Greece as our environmental crisis we had to design for, so spent the first day looking into the causes and effects of the wildfire in 2019.

One of our tasks was to design a postcard inspired by the wildfire, sent from the perspective of someone experiencing the crisis. We. decided to use juxtaposition between words and images to create a sense of unease, as the front of the postcard depicts Evia as a gorgeous island with thriving wildlife, whilst the back describes the horror of the wildfires. We also scorched the sides of the postcard, as to Make it seem as though the card was actually sent from a fire.
